Steps to solve problems like ‘Samsung KIES not
Detecting or Recognizing Android Phone’
There are many ways in which you can update software on your
phone. Most of the Samsung phones are powered with Android OS and updates keep
coming regularly. You can update with the latest version whenever it’s
available using PC Suite provided by Samsung i.e., Samsung KIES or On the Air
update which comes mostly for high-end devices.
Recently many users of Samsung phones have problems in
connecting their device with Samsung KIES and KIES Mini. And in famous forums
there are lots of users asking for help when they are struck with problem as
not able to connect their phone with their PC using the Samsung KIES. Users
report the following problems-
- Phone
doesn’t get recognized by KIES
- KIES
didn’t detect my phone
Here are few steps which you can follow to make sure your
connection with KIES gets established successfully-
Step 1: You should
make sure that for KIES to run successfully you should have installed .NET
Framework on your PC. Download it from download.com if it’s not there on your
PC. In case it is there, then try to disable antivirus or any firewall
protection that is stopping your device from being connected with Samsung KIES. Check whether the problem is fixed
or else go to the next step.
Step 2: The problem
can be in the USB cable that you are using to connect your phone with your PC.
If it’s at fault, then get a new one and try again. If your USB Cable is fine
then proceed with the following steps.
Step 3: Do check out
your phone’s memory storage as depending on your data stored at phone memory,
if it has less free or unused memory the Samsung KIES may not show your device
even though it’s connected properly.
If the problem still exists, the only possible solution is
to format your phone memory. So it’s important to back up your desired data
which is quite simple. As you have micro SD card on your phone, move your phone
memory data to your micro SD card and then hit a reset on your phone. Then go
to Menu > Settings > Privacy
and then hit Factory Data Reset.
Following the on screen instructions and after reboot try to connect your phone
to Samsung KIES.
Step 3: Now try to connect
your device when your phone has completed the media scanning. Media Scanning is
the process in which your phone tries to ON your phone services when its
powered ON. For such reasons try to connect your phone when its fully loaded,
normally takes 10 seconds.
Most of the cases in which the problem of connecting your
phone with KIES occurs, have been discussed here and if your problem is still
not resolved, then the nature of problem can be different.
Steps to Fix SGS2 Echo and Digital Noise
Reduction/Cancellation Problems
Do you remember the time when the users of Apple iPhone 4
complained about Network related issues when held in a particular manner? On the
same lines, Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 smartphone
which is still the flagship model of Samsung Electronics has an issue wherein
users had issues with Digital Noise Reduction/ Cancellation Problems. We are
here to help you to fix this issue.
Please note that this procedure can only be applied on all
SAMSUNG Galaxy S2 smart phones only and not on any other phone.
Disclaimer:
Please note that we should not be held responsible in any manner just in case
any damage happens to your device in this.
Procedure to Fix SGS2 Echo and
Digital Noise Reduction/Cancellation Problems:
- First
you need to remove the battery by removing the back cover and then you
need to remove the screws as shown in the below image. After this, you
need to unclip the back and front cover and since the back cover is very tough,
it’s very unlikely that it will break.
- Now,
you will get to see the following image. You can see that there will be a
red block called as “ZZ” as shown below.
- Now,
you will see that two components are interfering with one another as shown
in the below image. “A” is basically the NC Microphone sensor. Make sure
that the sensor is placed correctly in the sleeve which will cover the
same as shown. “B” is nothing but the speaker and will be glued but you
can lift the same with the help of tweezer.
- Next
you need to loosen the speaker with the help of lifting the same up and
down. Please note that you need to note down the arrow as it will flip the
arrow which will be pointing to expose the casing which is housed in it.
Now, you need to clean out the housing dirt or wipe from the speaker as
this dirt substances too hamper the performance of the phone. In the
process, you need to gently elevate the speaker to clean the same.
- Now
you need to flip the speaker back and then after cleaning, press it down
till its seated perfectly in its housing. Please note that the rubber
which is surrounded with the rubber speaker is pressed firmly so as to
house the same.
- Now,
you need to make use of a piece of cupboard or may be a thick paper of the
dimension 5mm x 12mm by 0.5mm and place the same over the speaker. You
need to cover the red block shown as “C” and then you need to proceed to
next step.
- Close
the phone by putting back the screws in place after which you need to
ensure that the speaker is placed tightly else it would cause echo effect
when you are on the call.
So that’s it, you have now successfully fixed the Echo and
Digital Noise Reduction/Cancellation Problems in your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT
I9100 smart phone.
